I do my best work at 3% battery life

Hi there!

I am coming to you with a confession: I absolutely do my best work when my computer battery is about to die. The pressure and possibility of my computer turning off, potentially losing my work, and having to start all over does something strange and weird for my creativity—all of a sudden, the ideas are flowing, the words are clear, and the urgency behind getting them out into the world is alive in my body.

I share this with you because maybe you are this person too. We are out here, doing our best work when the battery symbol is RED.

That being said, I have learned over time that the red zone is NOT where we want to be coming from when it comes to our relationships. When we feel depleted, disconnected from ourselves, or burned out, that energy carries over to how we treat the people we love the most. It’s critical to tend to ourselves, nurture our needs, and take care not only for our own well-being but the health and wellness of our relational lives.

I am reaching out because our Winter Homecoming Retreat is exactly 4 weeks away, which means that we are definitely entering the low-battery phase of registration--and it gives all of us an opportunity to check in about where our personal and relational battery is at this moment. This retreat is SO important to me and it’s going to be SO supportive, connective, and generative that I don’t want you to miss it (and I don’t want to miss having you there). My goal is always to share with you in ways that feel genuine for me and talk with you the way I would talk with my friends or colleagues—with respect, clarity, and the deep knowing that the work I offer can make a difference in your life, because it has made a difference in mine.

Gillian and I know that in our current culture, we are constantly inundated with information and urgency, so we wanted to offer a couple of things in alignment with our retreat to allow for some more spaciousness and accessibility:

  • In our desire to make the last few slots of this retreat accessible, we are offering the “register with a friend” discount to all, regardless of whether you register with another person—which means that you receive $300 off the total investment of the retreat.

  • We are extending this early bird offering until Saturday evening at midnight.

We are both aware that there is a lot going on in the world, and you have a number of opportunities for how you want to spend your time. We feel confident that the space we will be holding at the Indigo Nature Retreat November 11-13, 2022 is going to offer each participant the engagement, learning, connection, and rejuvenation that accompanies a beautiful retreat—and we would love for you to join us. This isn't your typical retreat--we collectively bring over a decade of experience in international luxury travel and yoga retreats, custom trip design, and experience curating events (Gillian is a very incredible human!) as well as our respective work in facilitating containers for growth, healing, and transformation. And did I mention that the amazing chef who is working with us also used to work with Oprah? I don't think I have to say anything more about how wonderful our meals will be :)

I also ask that if you know anyone who might want an opportunity to learn more about attachment theory and embodiment work, take some time in nature, make new and powerful connections with others, and eat delicious and nourishing food cooked by a professional chef all weekend, could you let them know about the Winter Homecoming Retreat?

I am here if you have any questions about this offering, if you are on the fence and wondering if it’s the right fit for you, or if your battery is at 3% and you need my charger—I got you :)

Warmly,

Elizabeth
